This was a very interesting topic to explore and expand on. I am familiar with UI and UX from past classes and courses I have taken. My two favorite quotes from the first video titled “Differences Between UI and UX” were, “But we haven’t yet gotten to the Ul, the visual style, the physical touch, the things that are tactile or at least digitally tactile.” Because I liked how it specifically said “physical touch”. This expanded my thought process because usually when you think digital you don’t think of touch. It just shows how the concept of websites and media is evolving. And second, “although there is such a thing as interface designers for things like cockpits inside of airplanes and you know, all that kind of stuff.”. I liked this quote because the second example of interface design broadened my understanding of it. It also made my mind wander to other placed UI is used. Lastly in the article, “The Difference Between UX and UI Design: A Beginners Guide” by Emily Lamprecht (June 2nd, 2023) states, “As Rahul Varshney, co-creator of Foster.fm puts it:

“User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) are some of the most confused and misused terms in our field. A UI without UX is like a painter slapping paint onto a canvas without thought; while UX without UI is like the frame of a sculpture with no paper mache on it. A great product experience starts with UX followed by UI. Both are essential for the product’s success.” I appreciated this quote because it shows the importance of understanding these two concepts of design and that they should not be taken lightly.
